"SNEHI SAMAJ, Registered under the Society Act with registration No.8044/397/1974-75, which has been established since 15.12.1968 at Bhubaneswar. It is a socio-cultural organisation. The principal aim of the organization is to encourage mutual love, help and cooperation besides spreading fraternity feeling among the members of the organization, since its inception the organization is engaged in holding various social and cultural programs at different times of the year. Based on its set out objectives the organization takes up a lot of social services and cultural programs for the benefit of the Snehi people of the society with specific focus on thd weaker sections of the society. The organization choose the different programs to suit all the members irrespective of sex and age i.e children, boys, girls, ladies, gents and even senior citizens. Besides cultural programs, the organization also takes up social service and free medical camp and different programs for eradication of superstition from the society. Moreover, the organization takes up different programs to encourage the development of handicrafts, cottage industries, arts, and paintings etc to creat opportunity for self employment. General Body Meeting of the organization is held every year and election to its executive committee is held every two years."
1. To develop social and cultural relation, exchange ideas, spread brotherhood and mutual co-operation among SNEHI individuals and their families who have come from different parts of the state /country and settled in Bhubaneswar or employed in Bhubaneswar.
2. To arrange help and mass support for uplift of the weaker section of the society.
3. To arrange scholarship/ financial support for the poor and meritorious students to pursue higher studies and also arrange vocational training for the educated and unemployed youths.
4. To run free medical camp for the treatment of the poor or provide financial support to the needy people.
5. To help encourage establishment of the cottage or small scale industries for self employment of the unemployed youths. SNEHI SAMAJ also provide finance for establishment or revival of small scale industries.
6. To endeavour to do away with Dowry systems and other superstitious beliefs prevailing in the society.
7. To encourage inter state marriage in order to strengthen the national unity
8. To arrange relief and help during natural calamity like flood and cyclone
9. To arrange programmes and trainings for development of arts,culture,music,drama, sports, athletics etc.
10. SNEHI SAMJ brings out a yearly publications titled as SNEHI SANDESH as moth piece. This publication gives all the events during the whole year and income & expenditure of the every financial year and balance sheet.
11. SNEHI SAMAJ provides awards to the meritious students in different fields.It slso provides Snehi Ratan, Snehi Gourav to the awardee positioned in different fields. All these awards given in the Annual General Body Meeting every year in the month of December.
